Mr. and Mrs. Seahorse drifted gently through the sea.
Mrs. Seahorse began to wiggle and twist, this way and that.
해마 아저씨와 해마 부인이 바닷속을 살랑살랑 떠다녔다.
해마 부인은 이리저리 몸을 흔들고 비틀기 시작했다.

"It's time for me to lay my eggs, ", she said.
"Can I help?" asked Mr.Seahorse.
"Oh, yes. Thank you!" said Mrs. Seahorse, 
and she laid her eggs into a pouch on Mr.Seahorse's belly.
"I'll take good care of our eggs, " said Mr.Seahorse, "I promise."
이제 알을 낳을 때가 됐다", 해마부인이 말했다.
"내가 도와줄까?"라고 해마 아저씨가 물었다.
"오, 좋아. 고마워!" 해마 부인이 말했다.
그리고 그녀는 그녀의 알을 해마 씨의 배주머니에 넣었다.
"내가 우리 알을 잘 돌볼게." 하고 해마 아저씨가 말했다, "약속할게."

해마 아저씨가 바다를 부드럽게 떠내려갈 때,

a group of trumpet fish hidden in a patch of reeds.
갈대에 숨겨져 있는 한 무리의 나팔 물고기를 바로 지나갔다.

But before long, Mr. Seahorse met another fish. 
"How are you, Mr.Stickleback?" asked Mr. Seahorse.
"Delighted, " replied Mr.Stickleback. 
"I just built a nest and right away 
Mrs. Stickleback laid her eggs into it.
Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch."
그러나 얼마 지나지 않아 해마 아저씨는 다른 물고기를 만났다. 
"잘 지내십니까, 스티클백 씨?" 해마 아저씨가 물었다.
"아주 좋아요"라고 스티클백 씨가 대답했다.
"방금 둥지를 지었는데 바로.
스티클백 부인이 그 속에 알을 낳았어요.
이제 부화할 때까지 잘 돌보고 있어요."

"Keep up the good work, " said Mr. Seahorse and swam on his way.
"계속 잘해주세요, " 해마 아저씨가 말하고 그의 길을 갔다.

As Mr. Seahorse drifted gently through the sea, 
he passed right by... a lionfish hidden behind a coral reef.
해마 아저씨가 바다를 부드럽게 떠내려갈 때, 그는...
산호초 뒤에 숨어있는 라이언피쉬를 바로 지나갔다.

But before long, Mr. Seahorse met another fish.
"How are you, Mr. Tilapia?" asked Mr. Seahorse.
Mr. Tilapia couldn't answer.
His mouth was full of eggs.
"I know, I know, " said Mr. Seahorse.
그러나 얼마 지나지 않아 해마 아저씨는 또 다른 물고기를 만났다.
"틸라피아 씨, 안녕하십니까?"라고 해마 아저씨가 물었다.
틸라피아 씨는 대답할 수 없었다.
그의 입에는 알이 가득했다.
"알아요, 알죠."라고 해마 아저씨가 말했다.

"Mrs, Tilapia laid her eggs. Now you are taking good care of them until they hatch."
Mr.Tilapia nodded his head.
"You must be very happy, " said Mr, Seahorse and swam on his way.
"틸라피아 부인은 알을 낳았어요. 이제 당신이 부화할 때까지 잘 보살펴야해요."
틸라피아 씨는 고개를 끄덕였다.
"아주 행복하겠군요."라고 해마 씨가 말하고 그의 길을 갔다.

As Mr.Seahorse drifted gently through the sea, he passed right by...
a pair of leaf fish hidden among the seaweed.
해마씨가 바다를 부드럽게 떠내려갈 때, 그는
그는 미역 사이에 숨겨진 리프피쉬 한 쌍을 바로 지나쳤다.

But before long, Mr.Seahorse met another fish.
"How are you, Mr.Kurtus" asked Mr. Seahorse.
"Perfectly fine, " replied Mr.Kurtus 
"Mr.Kurtus laid her egg and I have stuck them on my head. Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch."
하지만 머지않아, 해마는 또 다른 물고기를 만났다.
"쿠루투스 씨, 안녕하십니까?"라고 해마 씨가 물었다.
"완전히 좋아." 하고 쿠르투스 씨가 대답했다.
"쿠르투스 부인은 알을 낳았고 나는 알을 내 머리에 꽂았어요. 이제 부화할 때까지 잘 돌보고 있어요."

"You are doing a good job, " said Mr. Seahorse and swam on his way.
"잘하고 있군." 해마 씨가 말하고 가던 길을 갔다.

a stonefish hidden behind a rock.
해마 씨가 바다를 부드럽게 떠내려갈 때, 그는...
바위 뒤에 숨겨져 있는 석붕어 한 마리를 바로 옆을 지나갔다.

But before long, Mr.Seahorse met another fish.
"How are you, Mr. Pipe?" asked Mr.Seahorse.
"Couldn't be better, " replied Mr.Pipe. 
"Mrs. Pipe laid her eggs along my belly.
Now I am taking good care of them until they hatch."
"You should feel proud of yourself, " said Mr. Seahorse and swam on his way.
하지만 머지않아, 해마 씨는 또 다른 물고기를 만났다.
"안녕하십니까, 파이프 씨?"라고 해마 씨가 물었다.
"아주 좋아요."라고 파이프 씨가 대답했다.
"파이프 부인은 내 배를 따라 알을 낳았어요. 
이제 부화할 때까지 잘 돌보고 있어요.
"자신을 자랑스러워야 해."라고 해마 씨가 말하고 가던 길을 갔다.

But before long, Mr. Seahorse met another fish.
"How are you, Mr.Bullhead?" asked Mr. Seahorse.
"Tip-top, " replied Mr. Bullhead.
"Mrs. Bullhead laid her eggs and the eggs hatched. Now I'm baby-sitting."
"You are doing a fine job, " said Mr. Seahorse and swam on his way.
그러나 얼마 지나지 않아 해마 씨는 또 다른 물고기를 만났다.
"불헤드 씨, 안녕하십니까?"라고 해마 씨가 물었다.
"최고야, " 불헤드 씨가 대답했다.
"불머리 부인은 알을 낳고 알은 부화했어요. 이제 아이를 봐주고 있어요."
"당신은 잘하고 있어."라고 해마 씨가 말하고 그의 길을 갔다.

The time bad come for the seahorse babies to be born.
해마 새끼들이 태어날 시간이 왔다.

Mr.Seahorse wiggled and twisted, this way and that.
At last, the babies tumbled from Mr. Seahorse's pouch and swam away.
One baby turned around and tried to come back into the pouch.
"Oh, no!" said Mr.Seahorse. "I do love you, but now you are ready to be on your own."
해마 씨는 이리저리 몸을 뒤척이며 몸을 비틀었다.
마침내 아기들은 해마 씨의 주머니에서 굴러 떨어져 헤엄쳐 갔다.
한 아기가 돌아서서 주머니 속으로 다시 들어오려고 했다.
"오, 안돼!"라고 해마 씨가 말했다. "나는 너를 사랑하지만, 이제 너는 혼자 살아갈 준비가 됐어"
