Just a snowman

그냥 눈사람이야

It snowed and all night long, so today we had a snow day.
Hooray!

밤새 눈이 내려서, 오늘 눈을 가지고 놀았어요.
만세!

I wanted to build a snowman. I put on my snow boots and my hat and my mittens and my scarf.

나는 눈사람을 만들고 싶었다. 나는 내 스노우 부츠와 모자를 쓰고 벙어리 장갑과 목도리를 둘렀다.

Then, I helped Little Sister put on her snow stuff.
그리고 나서, 나는 여동생이 옷을 입는 것을 도왔다.

After that, Dad needed my help. We shoveled and shoveled lots of snow...
... and then had to find the car.
그 후, 아빠는 내 도움이 필요했다. 우리는 많은 눈을 삽으로 떠서 퍼냈다...
그리고 차를 찾아야 했다.

I was going to build a snowman next, but Little Sister wanted to have a snow ball fight. I let her hit me a bunch of times.
나는 다음에 눈사람을 만들려고 했지만, 여동생은 눈 싸움을 하고 싶었다. 나는 그녀가 나를 여러 번 맞추게 두었다.

I only hit her one time by accident.
나는 우연히 그녀를 한 번 눈으로 때렸다.

So then, I had to say I was sorry and give her a big hug.

I was going to build a snowman after that, but Tiger and Bun Bun wanted to go ice-skating.

그 후 눈사람을 만들 생각이었지만, 타이거와 번번은 아이스 스케이트를 타러 가고 싶었다.

SO, I showed everyone how I can skate backwards...
... and do jumps.
그래서, 나는 모든 사람들에게 내가 거꾸로 스케이트를 탈 수 있는 방법을 보여주었다.

Then Tiger and I raced.
It was a tie.

그리고 타이거와 나는 경주를 했다.
비겼다.

I was ready to build a snowman next, but Maurice and Molly wanted to go sledding.
I steered all the way down the big hill. Watch out, Maurice and Molly, here we come!

나는 다음에 눈사람을 만들 준비가 되었지만, 모리스와 몰리는 썰매를 타러 가고 싶었다.
나는 큰 언덕 아래로 줄곧 썰매를 조종했다.. 조심해, 모리스와 몰리, 우리가 간다!

When Little Sister and I got home, i was going to build a snowman. But Gator wanted me to help him build a snow fort.

여동생과 내가 집에 왔을 때, 나는 눈사람을 만들 생각이었다. 하지만 게이터는 내가 눈 요새를 짓는 것을 도와주길 원했다.

And then Gabby wanted to make snow angels.

그리고 나서 개비는 눈 천사를 만들고 싶었했다.

Finally! It was time to build a snowman. First, we made a big snowball for the bottom.

드디어! 눈사람을 만들 차례다. 먼저, 우리는 바닥에 큰 눈덩이를 만들었다.

Next, we put a smaller one on top...
... and an even smaller one on top of that one.

다음, 작은 것을 위에 올려놓고...
그리고 저 위에 더 작은 걸 얹었다.

Little Sister added prunes for his eyes and mouth, and a carrot for his nose.

여동생은 눈과 입을 자두로, 그리고 코를 당근으로 만들었다.

And I put Mom’s scarf around his neck and Dad’s hat on his head. I even let him wear my sunglasses.
Our snowman sure looked great! 

그리고 나는 엄마의 목도리를 눈사람 목에 두르고 아빠의 모자를 머리에 씌웠다. 나는 심지어 눈사람에게 내 선글라스를 쓰게 했다.
우리 눈사람은 정말 멋져 보였어!

Little Sister was getting cold so we went inside. The snowman looked cold, too, so I decided to make some of my special hot chocolate to warm us all up.

여동생이 추워해서 우리는 집 안으로 들어갔다. 눈사람도 추워보였다, 그래서 우리 모두를 따뜻하게 해주기 위해 내가 특별한 핫초코를 만들기로 했다.

First, Mom heated some milk while I got out the secret ingredients.

먼저, 엄마는 내가 비밀 재료들을 꺼내는 동안 우유를 데웠다.

I put everything into the pot and stirred it all up with a big spoon.

나는 냄비에 모든 것을 넣고 큰 숟가락으로 모든 것을 휘저었다.

Then I put marshmallows on top and I poured the hot chocolate into three big mugs—one for me, one for Little Sister...
... and one for the snowman. It was the best snow day ever. I sure hope it snows again tomorrow!

그리고 마시멜로를 올려놓고 핫초코를 세 개의 큰 머그컵에 부었다. 하나는 나, 하나는 어린 여동생...
눈사람에게 하나. 그 날은 역대 최고의 눈의 날이었다. 내일 또 눈이 왔으면 좋겠다!
